Reports that children in Gaza are dying from starvation and dehydration are appalling. More than half a million people are facing catastrophic or famine conditions. The situation will continue to worsen without an immediate ceasefire, and children will continue to die each day. These deaths are preventable.
The IRC is calling on all parties to the conflict to take immediate steps to protect the lives of children, and on the international community to support those efforts.
