The Coronavirus, or COVID-19, is spreading rapidly across international borders. Vulnerable populations and those living in crisis will be hit the hardest by this outbreak.
Now, the world’s largest refugee camp has confirmed its first case of COVID-19. In Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, nearly one million Rohingya refugees live in overcrowded conditions, with limited access to health care, clean water and sanitation.
The International Rescue Committee is responding around the world in countries impacted by Coronavirus, including Bangaldesh. Our health teams are working around the clock to rapidly detect, respond and prevent further spread of the disease.
The COVID-19 pandemic is a powerful reminder of the world’s inequalities, and how we are only as strong as our weakest health system. We can fight this virus, but we need to do it together.
