The Concert for Afghanistan, on 22nd October 2021, provides an opportunity for musicians and music-lovers to donate their time and abilities to help those they feel to be in great need. All proceeds from the concert go directly to the International Rescue Committee, helping to support our work in Afghanistan, where more than 18 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
The IRC has operated in Afghanistan since 1988, providing a multi-sector emergency response including education, protection, economic well being, and healthcare. We have stayed in Afghanistan through crisis after crisis and we will stay and deliver now.
Your donations help the IRC to:
- Set up mobile health clinic to address the rapid decline in existing health services
- Provide safe learning spaces in rural areas and community based education programmes
- Distribute cash to provide uprooted families with tents, clean water, sanitation and other basic necessities
- Work with Afghans to find livelihood opportunities as well as fund our extensive resilience programming.
Please make a donation now to help us support children and families in Afghanistan and in crisis zones worldwide.
